Cute child friendly structures for many different ages. Good space for picnicking, but not much space for anything that isn't stationary. There is a small skate park on the far end.
I attended a festival recently and truly enjoyed the environment. Not only was the park an excellent space for the large event, but it was easy to step away from the crowds and enjoy the view while listening to music from the band that played that night. I can imagine many outdoor activities that individuals or families would enjoy at Lakeside Park, although I have not been there enough to adequately access the environment of the park on a regular day.
